Finally up to date

Okay.....

I caved in to the pressure. It has come to my attention that I am not getting people enough information or pictures of what is happening with my family. So I got my act somewhat together and started this website. I promise to do my best effort to keep it up to date.....

Newest happenings in the last couple of months.......
  • Mom fell and broke her hip so flew out last moment to help her and dad out.
  • My hospital was closed down (the city decided to not renew the lease) so I am having to find a new job
  • I started school again to finish out my bachelors of athletic training. Found out may 23rd that I was accepted into the program.
  • Bret goes to Singapore at least once a month for a week. Difficult to handle with him gone, but I have all the fast food deliveries on memory now.
  • We remodeled the guest bath...I had a couple of hours with nothing to do so I decided to demo it all. Took me three weeks after that to complete it though

Will add more as the world turns for there is always drama when you have three girls........

Alle not-so-sweet sixteen

She may not be so sweet, but she is sixteen. We had a get together at the house then went to a mystery dinner theater production. She was taken up on stage to be the magician's assistant for the knife throwing act. She refused to put the target over her head. She kept covering her face. The girls all stayed the night, playing guitar hero until 3 am. They also made t-shirts to remember the occassion.

bry birthday-chief game

My boss is so great. She got Bret and I tickets to the Chiefs game here in Arizona, in the new stadium also. It just happened to be Bryanna's eighth birthday also. She was gracious enough to celebrate it with us at the stadium. I got her this awesome cheerleader outfit that was just too cute on her. She went up and down the rows having people cheer with her. There were more chief fans in the stadium than there were cardinal fans. We even had the famous "HOME OF THE CHIEFS" ending of the star spangled banner.

San Diego Zoo

Bret and I decided to surprise the girls with a road trip. We told them we were going to dinner outside of town. SIX HOURS later we arrive in San Diego. They figured out something was up about an hour and a half into the trip. SO GULLIBLE.... We had one day at the zoo, then a ghost tour of downtown, followed by the wildlife park the next day. We had so much fun. Can't wait to go again.

Bry ahwatukee foothills soccer club under10 girls red devils

Bry played club soccer for the first time this last year. She is becoming quite the young athlete. She loves to play goalie and defense. She can take a hitting and keep on ticking! The worst hit she took was a hard kick to the ball from four feet away. She managed to catch the ball right in the gut. It was one of those hits where both sidelines went "OOH". She stood there a second (most likely to catch her breath) then kicked the ball back out to play. Not even a tear. Bry has a bad habit of rocking as everyone knows. Well the next day after this game, I noticed she was not rocking. I asked her about it and she lifted her shirt and showed me the big ole bruise she had across her gut.

I lives are taken over by soccer from September through March, but to see her smile on the field makes it worth it. She has aspirations of being a pro and is already looking at San Diego State University. Time will only tell.......

Girls 07-08

The girls have grown up so much. It is hard to believe I only have a few more years left with them. Alle will be a senior this year. Tori is in the eighth grade and Bry is in forth grade. Alle had her junior prom. Her and Brittany got ready over at our house, then everyone else showed up here to head out together. Group date is so much easier on the parent!

Tori is in the choir, plays golf, and loves to just "hang out". The pics are of her friends and her at rawhide (a cowboy-esque place to visit). Bry can be characterized in one description- a hummingbird. She never sits still. These pics are of her in San Diego. Bry, myself, Julia (her best friend), and Kerstin (Julia's mom)took a weekend trip there just to have some girl-time fun!!!!

Tucson Caves

My mother-in-law Joan came for a visit in March. We took a road trip down to the Collassal caves in Tucson. Three hundred and sixty three stairs later we saw some pretty spectacular sights. An oddball tidbit is that the caves were built by the CCCs of which Joan's father was a part of (he did not help dig these caves though). What is even more rare is that Alle was captured on film with a smile. Gotta love her, only she could wear long sleeves and jeans when it is 80 degrees outside and in the sun!!!

Rock rapelling March 15 2008

So a former patient named Meg Bowman convinced me to go rappelling down a 100 foot bluff. In all actuality I was not going to go down until BRYANNA went. I can't be outdone by a nine year old after all. So my boss Kathy (the blonde in the hat), my patient Meg, Bryanna (with Jay, Meg's husband ) and I are all featured here. The pictures also show the view from the top of the bluff. Funny side note. Bryanna had to go to the bathroom half way down. That is why she has the funny look on her face in the pic. Poor Jay 2o minutes and two arms numbs later finally reached the bottom of the bluff. Bret wasn't feeling well so he didn't rappel this time. Alle was at a friends house. Tori is scared of heights, so we tried to get a pic of her on the side of the bluff, unfortunately you can still see the grass below her!!!! We also had a great BBQ and many great friends around. It was an experience worth doing again, although this time my feet will stay on the ground and take more pics.
